On with project #2 The Reading Table.
I have this slated to go in my bedroom also, so I have to do it up real nice to get that accomplished or it will end up in the downstairs bathroom. I love the book pockets on the sides of the table. I think it would be perfect nestled between two chairs with a lamp in a cozy corner somewhere. Hmmmm I wonder what kind of finish would be best, any suggestions?

The finish I guess depends on what else is happening in the room. I like minwax; because you can get a tiny can at the hardware store, with color & sealer all in one product. The key is in the prep work, so no matter how you finish it, if you do the prep it will be terrific! Can’t wait to see what you decide to do. (If using for a bedside table, think about adding a piece of beveled glass to the top, protect it from those water glasses)
Great suggestions. The woods and trim in my bedroom is dark but the walls are beige. My room has blue and green accents. I was thinking of just staining something dark but my passion is saying blue.
